What Products Should I Promote?
ALL of the studies show that LONG TERM Success in online business is by creating a website or YouTube channel about topics that you are personally interested in. How do I Create a Website?
You're embarking on creating a real business, so there are expenses if you want to do it right, but you CAN do it absolutely Free if you want. It is BEST to actually pay to have your own "Domain Name" (example: http://YourWebsiteName.com) and web hosting (the storage space where you will put all of your website files, photos, graphics... any files you need for your website), so I'll give you the options I recommend below...
- Get Affordable WordPress Hosting & FREE Domain Name at DreamHost - I have used DreamHost for over 20 years and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. They have Excellent Uptime and Customer Support, as well as an easy Dashboard to manage your Domain Names and other account/website settings.
*SPECIAL PRICING - DreamHost is offering $50 OFF right now on their "Unlimited Shared Hosting" which is what I recommend and have personally used for 20 years.
-OR- - Get FREE Website at Weebly.com but this does NOT have a Free Domain Name. Your "URL" will look something like http://YourBusinessName.Weebly.com. This OK, but NOT Ideal. Weebly does have a way to pay for a Domain Name and web hosting, but if you're going to pay, I HIGHLY encourage you to look into DreamHost to get your Domain Name etc.
NOTE: If you're looking to Sell your Own items (not someone else's), I would recommend looking into Etsy, Shopify or Squarespace.
WARNING: I am NOT (in ANY WAY) a fan of "GoDaddy" who is one of the leaders in the Domain Name and Hosting business. They are VERY EXPENSIVE, their Dashboard is VERY CONFUSING and they are CONSTANTLY trying to SELL YOU products you DO NOT NEED!!! STAY AWAY or Beware... You've been warned!
ESSENTIAL Tool for Success... Your Email List!
Perhaps even more important than your website is your email list! If you rely solely on your website to get customers, you'll be waiting a long time for sales. There are SO MANY competing websites, that the odds of people remembering your website are very slim, that's why you need to use other channels such as YouTube and Social Media to get people to your website, BUT... once they are there, you MUST capture their name and email address so you'll be able to send them a Newsletter or emails updating them on future promotions, sales, and new articles or videos you've created.
